There are 22 waterfalls in the area with 12 under 15 miles from Bessemer, Michigan. Some waterfalls have easy access with pathways, others may require a little bushwhacking of your own.
Lake Gogebic covers 13,380 acres, up to depths of 35 feet and offers prime fishing water and is the home of the “Fat Belly Perch” better known as Jumbo Perch. It is not uncommon to reel in a 2-lb Perch! The lake also offers awesome Walleye and Small Mouth Bass fishing. Other fish commonly found in Lake Gogebic include Black Crappie, Bluegill, Northern Pike, and Sunfish.
