Lake Gogebic covers 13,380 acres, up to depths of 35 feet and offers prime fishing water and is the home of the “Fat
Belly Perch” better known as Jumbo Perch. It is not uncommon to reel in a 2-lb Perch! The lake also offers
awesome Walleye and Small Mouth Bass fishing. Other fish commonly found in Lake Gogebic include Black
Crappie, Bluegill, Northern Pike, and Sunfish.
Biking/Hiking
Between the Pines and Mines Mountain Bike Trail in Wisconsin and the Western UP, there are more than 200 miles
of marked trials. Enjoy the wide variety of wildlife and the beautiful scenery as you take a long hike through the
hundreds of acres of state and national forest.
ATV
Riders can enjoy endless trails and forest roads through the scenic wilderness of the U.P.'s national and state forests.
The Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan offers off-road enthusiasts nearly infinite riding possibilities, with
hundreds of miles of scenic and historic trails.
Waterfalls
There are 22 waterfalls in the area with 12 under 15 miles from Bessemer, Michigan.
